Hosted by DJA team members, this is a space for Disabled journalists to come together for support, information-sharing, and community building. This month’s event is being hosted on June 25 from 6-8 PM Eastern and will focus on a professional development presentation led by DJA team member John Loeppky.
At the end of may, with the support of Grist, DJA published a package of stories that focused in on the intersection between disability and climate justice in the rural US. In this session, editor of the package John Loeppky will showcase how the package came together, what lessons DJA is taking away, and how knowledge gleaned from the production and sharing of the package can support other newsrooms and journalists looking to take on similar projects.
